Hunter McGill is an international development policy consultant and sessional lecturer at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. His consulting work focuses on good bilateral aid donor practice, aid effectiveness and humanitarian assistance. He spent 30 years at the Canadian International Development Agency in a range of program and policy management assignments in Africa, in multilateral programs and as Director General of humanitarian assistance. From 2002 to 2006, he worked at the OECD as head of peer review and evaluation operations for the Development Assistance Committee (DAC). He is a member of the boards of Friends of the Rideau, the Rideau Waterway Land Trust, and Heritage Ottawa.
